Rusatom Metal Tech LLC offers a wide range of high-strength wires with increased electrical conductivity: copper-niobium alloy contact wires for high-speed railway lines, radiation-resistant and heat-resistant wires, extra-thin wires coated with silver, tin, nickel, or uncoated, high-strength wires for creating magnetic systems of medical tomographs, electromotors, and generators.

Our thin and extra thin wires have the following characteristics: high mechanical strength and radiation resistance, increased electrical conductivity, resistance to bending, stable microstructure at elevated temperatures.

Cabling and wiring products of Rusatom Metal Tech LLC are in demand for high-speed railway transportation, precision engineering, electronics and microelectronics, robotics, and are also used in industries where reliability and safety issues are of paramount importance: nuclear power engineering, aviation, and space technology.

Radiation-Resistant Wires
01
Radiation-resistant wires are designed to operate in conditions of increased exposure to radiation, where conventional types of wires lose their properties. Rusatom Metal Tech LLC offers a wide range of radiation-resistant wires, which are used in the nuclear and aerospace industries. For example, a winding thermo-irradiation wire of rectangular cross-section is used in the nuclear industry, as it is designed for operation at elevated temperatures up to 450 °C in conditions of high-intensity neutron fluxes. Radiation-resistant and heat-resistant wires are used in the aerospace industry as lengtheners for piezoresistors (sensors) of aircraft engines. Heat- and radiation-resistant equipment wires are manufactured at Chepetsky Mechanical Plant JSC on the basis of stranded wires, made of copper-niobium alloy with cross-sections from 0.2 mm2 to 4 mm2.

Extra Thin Coated Wires
02
Thin wires (microwires) based on copper-niobium alloy are characterised by high ductility, increased number of "backward andforward bends" at 180°, in comparison with pure copper wires, as well as by maintainability of products in which they are used. Extra thin wires are insulated with solid glass insulation, which has increased thermal, moisture, and chemical resistance, as well as breakdown voltage of at least 1,000 V. Rusatom Metal Tech LLC offers extra thin wires coated with silver, tin, or nickel for aerospace industry, electronic and microelectronic industry, robotics, production of electromotors, as well as precision engineering.

Uncoated Thin Wires
03
Uncoated thin and extra thin wires based on copper-niobium alloy are used as cores for cabling and wiring products and blanks for high-strength or end contacts, including for operation at elevated temperatures up to 400° C without loss of strength. These wires are used in solar panels, for windings of hydraulic generators, in geothermal heat pumps, power electric cables, and in fabrics with the effect of protection against electromagnetic radiation, including for industrial applications. Rusatom Metal Tech LLC offers thin and extra thin wires based on copper-niobium alloy, with core cross-sectional areas from 0.03 to 0.1 mm.

High-Strength Wires
04
High-strength wires have increased electric conductivity, high resistance to abrasion and corrosion. The properties of these wires allow to manufacture pulse magnetic systems designed for extremely high magnetic fields up to 70 Tesla, as well as to obtain conductors for power transmission lines, which have a strength limit for the entire cross-section of at least 1,000 MPa at high values of electric conductivity. High-strength wires are used for heavy-duty transmission lines, such as current-carrying contact wires in high-speed rail transportation systems, or as high-strength winding wires in pulse magnets to create unique pulse systems with record-high fields. High-strength Cu-Nb wires of Rusatom Metal Tech LLC have: • high mechanical strength, which is 4 times higher than copper • range of operating temperatures from 120°C below zero to 700°C above zero • ability to withstand cyclic loads 5 times better compared to wires made of copper and its dispersion-hardened alloys • tensile strength up to 2,000 MPa

Contact Wires
05
A contact wire is the basis of the suspension, which directly contacts the current collectors of the railway transport electric motive power. Such wire has a standard cross-section of a complex profile with two longitudinal grooves for fastening supporting clamps. Rusatom Metal Tech LLC supplies contact wires for high-speed high-tension highways, where the speed of railway transport achieves up to 450 km/h.
