High-melting compounds have high melting temperatures and wear resistance, and are used for manufacturing abradants, lapping compounds and suspensions, high-temperature lubricants, and as catalysts, alloying additives, and chemical reagents. They are widely used in tooling, nuclear, aerospace, petroleum, and chemical industries, as well as in machine building.

Production facilities of Rusatom Metal Tech LLC allow to expand the nomenclature of chemical composition of high-melting compounds upon customer's request.

Hafnium Oxide

Hafnium oxide is an inorganic compound of hafnium and oxygen. One particle looks like a colourless crystal, which in bulk turns to white powder. Rusatom Metal Tech LLC supplies hafnium oxide, produced using its own unique technology at Chepetsky Mechanical Plant JSC. The distinctive feature of the technology is that the raw materials used for manufacturing hafnium oxide are the Company's proprietary hydrometallurgical products, formed during the production of reactor zirconium, which makes it possible to loop the production cycle within one enterprise. The high-tech product is used to produce oxygen-free compounds (carbides, borides, nitrides), which are used in the production of hard, wear-resistant coatings for heat-loaded components and parts of aerospace equipment, in optical production, as a high-melting material in thermocouples operating at temperatures up to 2,500 Cо. Zirconium Oxynitrate

Zirconium oxynitrate is an inorganic compound, a salt of zirconium metal and nitric acid, which serves as an intermediate product in the production of high (nuclear) chemical-purity zirconium. This compound is an important component for production of catalysts in petrochemistry, synthesis of organic compounds, a raw material for production of zirconia, and a highly-demanded chemical reagent, including for automobile industry and manufacture of microcomponents in electronics. It is produced at Chepetsky Mechanical Plant JSC, as the plant has established a full production cycle of the product and a certified quality control system at each stage.

Hafnium Tetrachloride

Hafnium tetrachloride is a colourless solid inorganic substance, a precursor of most organometallic hafnium compounds. This high-purity product is used in the production of precursors for the semiconductor industry and for the creation of insulating dielectric layers when manufacturing microchips, as well as in the production of other chemical compounds. Rusatom MetalTech LLC supplies with high-purity hafnium tetrachloride containing no more than 200 parts per million (ppm) of zirconium. The material is shipped as a powder in glass sealed ampoules from 1 to 100 g.

Zirconium tetrachloride is an inorganic compound, often used as a precursor to other zirconium compounds. On the outside, it is a mixture of colourless crystals that are soluble in water. Zirconium tetrachloride is most often used in the production of zirconium metal, enamels, surface treatments, heat-resistant coatings, as well as in laboratory experiments and analytical chemistry.
