VNIINM JSC (part of the TVEL JSC management circuit) and RUSNANO JSC established a joint venture, Science and Production Association NANOELECTRO LLC (SPA NANOELECTRO LLC), to produce nanostructured electrical conductors with ultrahigh strength and electric conductivity.
SPA NANOELECTRO LLC manufactured high-strength winding wire for the design to build the world's most powerful magnet at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics (BINP) in Russia.
The copper-niobium alloy wire, created at SPA NANOELECTRO LLC, was used as a component for manufacturing a super-power magnet, which reached a magnetic induction of more than 100 Tesla: 2 million times higher than the induction of the Earth's magnetic field.
Start of supplies of thin conductors based on copper-niobium alloy for non-industrial enterprises. Development of shielding braids for cable twists with reduced weight and increased flexibility for aircraft equipment jointly with Scientific and Production Centre Ekran JSC (SPC Ekran JSC).
SPA NANOELECTRO LLC and Chuvashcable JSC developed high-strength wires based on copper-niobium alloy for shipboard equipment.
Several batches of high-strength winding wires for research pulse magnets with high magnetic induction were manufactured and delivered at SarMT LLC and also on order of Germany.
During the year, high-strength winding wires for research pulse magnetic stamping systems were manufactured and delivered on order of the Korolev Samara National Research University, as well as for research pulse magnets with high magnetic induction on order of China and France.
The first orders for supply of heat-resistant winding wires with a total volume of more than 15 tons were fulfilled for Russian NPPs.
High-strength winding wires for research pulse magnets with high magnetic induction were manufactured and delivered on order of the USA.
Start of production of a pilot series of experimental samples and development batches of radiation-resistant and heat-resistant winding wire based on copper-niobium alloy micro-composite for the nuclear power industry.
Start of production of high-strength high-tension contact wires based on copper-niobium alloy, ensuring the speed of railway traffic up to 450 km/h.
TVEL JSC established an Industry Integrator in the Metallurgy sector on the basis of SPA NANOELECTRO LLC.
The first in the world practice micro-composite winding thermo-radiation-resistant wire for NPP operations in neutron fluxes up to fluence of 10 20 neutrons/cm2 was developed at SPA NANOELECTRO LLC.
A batch of high-strength conductors based on copper-niobium alloy was manufactured for research purposes and delivered to the Institute of Electrophysics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
SPA NANOELECTRO LLC was renamed to Rusatom Metallurgical Technologies LLC. The Promising Products business line was created as part of the Integrator.
Change in the size of shares in the Rusatom Metal Tech LLC authorized capital:
- 99 % is owned by TVEL JSC
- 1 % is owned by VNIINM JSC
Rusatom Metal Tech LLC and Information Satellite Systems Reshetnev JSC participated in the R&D to develop a new class of antenna curtains.
Rusatom Metal Tech LLC expanded its line of titanium products for the shipbuilding and aircraft industries.
A test batch of titanium pipes and a batch of stainless steel pipes was delivered to the manufacturer of aircraft piping systems for Russian Superjet and MS-21 passenger airplanes.
Rusatom Metal Tech LLC supplied the first batch of bioceramic dental implants for registration and launch of the new product on the Russian market.
Start of shipment of titanium bars and medical grade wire to key domestic manufacturers of medical implants. These bars were used to produce test samples of implants for osteosynthesis, craniomaxillofacial surgery, and products for arthroplasty of major human joints.
The Chepetsky Mechanical Plant started production of calcium injection wire in a thick sheath with a notch lock.
Rusatom Metal Tech LLC received positive results of tests of heat- and radiation-resistant equipment wires based on copper-niobium alloy core.
Rusatom Implant Systems LLC, a subsidiary of Rusatom, was established to produce import-substituting titanium implants for periosteal and intraosseous osteosynthesis. The planned capacity is up to 140 thousand units of titanium implants per year.
Within the framework of the XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Government of the Udmurt Republic, TVEL JSC and Rusatom Metal Tech LLC (part of the TVEL Fuel Company of Rosatom) signed an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of investment projects.
